Refund Policy

Effective Date: July 5, 2026

1. Overview

Café Cartographer ("the Service") is free to download and use. Optional Traveler plans (Traveler Monthly, Traveler Annual, or Lifetime) unlock additional features. This policy explains how refunds work for those paid purchases. How you request a refund depends on where you bought it, because different stores act as the seller (merchant of record) for their own transactions.

2. Subscriptions and Cancellation

Traveler Monthly and Traveler Annual renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for. Cancelling is not the same as requesting a refund. Lifetime is a one-time purchase and does not renew.

3. Purchases Made Through the App Store (iOS)

Purchases made on iOS are sold and processed by Apple, which is the merchant of record. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under your Apple Media Services agreement, not by us. To request one, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or use Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. We are generally unable to issue or override refunds for App Store transactions.

4. Purchases Made on the Web (Paddle)

Web purchases are sold and processed by Paddle, our authorised reseller and merchant of record. For these purchases your order contract is with Paddle: Paddle takes payment, issues your receipt, provides buyer support, and processes refunds. Web purchases are also governed by the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms and the Paddle Refund Policy.

14-day right to cancel. You may withdraw from a web purchase for any reason within 14 days and receive a full refund, in line with Paddle's Refund Policy and your statutory rights. This applies to one-off purchases (such as Lifetime) and to the first payment of a subscription. Exception: if, during that 14-day period, you begin using the Service having agreed at checkout to immediate access, the full-refund right may no longer apply.

After 14 days. Refunds are considered case by case. If the Service did not work as described, tell us or Paddle and we will make it right. If you were charged for a subscription renewal you did not intend to keep, contact us or Paddle promptly and we will do our best to help.

Refunds end your access. A refund reverses the purchase. If any purchase is refunded — including a one-time Lifetime or Founding Member purchase — your access to paid Traveler features ends and your account returns to the free tier. "Lifetime" means for the life of the purchase; a refunded Lifetime purchase is no longer active.

5. Free Trials

If your subscription includes a free trial (for example, the 7-day trial on Traveler Annual), you will not be charged until the trial ends. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

6. Promotional and Complimentary Access

Promotional codes or complimentary access granted outside a paid transaction have no cash value and are not eligible for a refund.
